If something upsets you: stop, take a breath and process it. What happened? What caused it? Now, think about your reaction: What did you say? What did you feel? Did this make things better or worse? You can’t control the things that upset you but you can control which impulses you follow in the wake of them. Controlling your impulses is the best way to master the uncontrollable world around you.
